Mash Island Park has a sandy beach with picnic shelters bordering the Apalachee and Ochlockonee Bays. The area surrounding Shell Point abounds with fresh seafood restaurants, antique shops, art galleries and quaint gift shops. Shell Point Weather & ClimateFlorida's Northwest Panhandle between Tallahassee and Panama City is somewhat cooler than the rest of the state due to its latitude and proximity to the Gulf of Mexico.
