Welcome to Alliagator Point Florida Vacation Rentals

Alligator Point Travel and Vacation Rental Overview

Vacationers can come along with their pets and enjoy their vacation with golf as a sport. People have the option for budget rentals.

Alligator Point is in the Big Bend area of Florida's Panhandle, almost due south of Tallahassee. Mostly a narrow strip of land extending west into the Gulf of Mexico from the mainland, its high, sandy southern banks hold a collection of residential properties lazily overlooking the ocean. A paved road allows easy access through a more native-looking landscape than one usually finds around Florida's oceanfront developments. Along much of the north side of the road are piers extending into Alligator Harbour, used to dock the boats in the shallow waters of the bay. This is having your cake and eating it, too - ocean in the front yard with the boat tied up out back! Take advantage of an opportunity to live like "islanders of yesterday" by enjoying your vacation at Alligator Point vacation rentals.

Alligator Point Attractions and Activities

ALLIGATOR POINT VACATION RENTALS

Alligator Point vacation rentals afford you an existence of luxury in complete isolation on the exotic Forgotten Coast of Florida. The region where Gulf Coast of Florida turns southward is known as the Big Bend, which is primarily populated with shallow salt marshes, grass, and mud flats of coastal area and islands, with but little hint of any sandy beaches. It is in the midst of such a chaotic natural landscape that Alligator Point stands out as a gem of natural beauty and an exotic beach, serving as a perfect outpost for anyone seeking to explore desolate wonders of nature. Make your nest in Alligator Point's house rentals, beach home rentals, and cottages to experience the most unusual that Florida has to offer.

Alligator Point house rentals and vacation homes offer unending fun at the beach and amidst nature's spendid creations. Enjoy a gentle brush with the nature at its exotic best as you make a splash in the waves, play sand volleyball, indulge in sand castling or sunbathing under a splendid tropical Sun. If you are looking to spice up your experience here, remember to visit the Fort Walton Beach and Santa Rosa Beach in Florida Panhandle.

Best Times to Visit Alligator Point

A hot and humid climate prevails in the summer because of the Gulf, though there is abundant sunshine. Showers and thunderstorms can be expected any time of the year. Though the rainy season generally runs May through September, August and September are actually the wettest months. The temperature during the year varies from 40 F to 90 F. Hurricane season extends from June to November, with the peak being in September. If you are looking for a place to really get away from distractions and relax, a visit to Alligator Point is good any time of the year. If you want to avoid the humidity, then it is best to visit Alligator Point during the winter months.

Alligator Point Attractions

Wakulla Springs State Park: You can see one of the world's largest fresh water springs at the Wakulla Springs State Park. The bowl of this spring covers 3 acres and the water stays at an amazing 70 F year-round. From a glass-bottom boat, you can see the cavernous depth of the spring as well as a great range of wildlife. Florida state parks are open from 8 AM until sundown, 365 days a year. Admission fees are $4 per vehicle and $1 for pedestrians and bicyclists.

Bald Point State Park: Located on Alligator Point where Ochlockonee Bay meets Apalachee Bay, Bald Point State Park offers a multitude of land and water activities. A diversity of biological communities makes the park a popular destination for birding and wildlife viewing. Every fall, bald eagles and monarch butterflies are commonly sighted as they head south for the winter.

Apalachicola National Forest: Apalachicola National Forest has several attractions that might interest you. One warning, though, is to be aware that alligators are present in this park.

Alligator Point Activities

Fishing, hiking and biking, boating, canoeing, kayaking, bird and butterfly watching.

Florida is a diverse state with beautiful beaches, grand resorts, exciting theme parks, island getaways, and sophisticated cities. Inland or coastal, indoors or out, for vacation or forever, the Sunshine State has a time and a place for everyone. The mention of beaches and such riches brings to mind only Florida – the sunshine state – where there is no shortage of exquisite sun-kissed beaches or of charming beachfront and oceanfront vacation homes. The beaches of Florida are not limited to just the coastline of the mainland; there are a large number of barrier islands as well. So, vacationers seeking a beach break in Florida can choose from the beachfront vacation homes on the Atlantic coast, on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico, or on the shores fronting the Intracoastal Waterways.
